Bitcoin: what does this electricity estimate cost?

According to this great research...

https://digiconomist.net/bitcoin-energy-consumption

"Number of U.S. households powered for 1 day by the electricity consumed for a single transaction"

6.56 homes

I am wondering what the $$ cash value this much electricity is?

Thanks

Are you sure about this? That is astounding!

I think you need to divide by 30 days...

Right?

Let's check your math, while I become edumacated about electricity costs;

901
/
30 (days in month)
 *
6.56 (household's worth of electricity)
*
0.1265

What do the other two numbers represent? And where did they come from?

I see. You use 400, but the average in the U.S. is 901. The A.C. Months are huge, though. True?

Well, does it seem possible that a Bitcoin transaction costs 25 bucks?

I guess the countries where the juice is being burned have much lower costs per kWh...but Jeez! That's a fortune!
Thanks!
You could use David's table - we are in the same realm.  But your cost per bitcoin seems OK.

Thanks
be glad you're not in Alaska $0.40 per kWh
I hope Bitcoin Mining is outlawed in Alaska before they all freeze to death!
