Server issues when enabling ipv4

My users were complaining they could not print. So when I checked my Windows 2012 server,  cleared the printer spool cache and restarted the print spooler server. Everything was dandy.

The next day we had the same issue. While trying to download driver updates for the printers, we noticed we didn't get any internet. Only google works and when looking for something it shows me my search results, but when clicking the link, it won't work.

Then I noticed I can't access my network devices through my browser.

All of the above works, when disabling IPV6.

Everything was working fine for  years with IPV6 enabled.

The printers are being shared in through GPO. The server is virtualized in VMWare ESXi.

Hi,
so if I understand correctly your title should be "server issues when enabling ipv6" ;-)
All of the above works, when disabling IPV6.
Then disable IPv6 !
Also it should work with it enabled, and it is recommended to enable it, do you really need it ?

Did you check your ipv4 configuration is fine ?
Did you try to reboot this print server VM ?
It is good you gave us all historical events, and this is weird as printer spooler and ip connection are not tied.. Is there any other changes recently made to this VM ?

We just removed and added the network adapter. So far everything seems to be working.
yes it is a good test too. VMXNET3 vnic ?
Well exchange won't break except if you disable ipv6 on the exchange servers. But I understand you want to keep ipv6 enable.
