copy of FileName.xlsm on every save as file
One of my client who uses mapped drive for shared files/folders having issue with saving. It will saves the files, but every instance, there is pre-named file with "Copy of filename.xlsm" . if he can remove it "copy of" it will be OK, but it is very frustrating for the client to do every time. is anyone had a issue? Thanks

The "Copy Of" prefix on saving will appear if the computer is opening a Template file, Opening a file that was Read-Only or if the file was opened in a temporary storage spot (example email attached files). Have you seen the specific issue or just taking the persons word it is happening. You need to have a scenario where you can repeat the issue at will.

Thanks for the comment. The file is not read only. i can rename the file over write the file no issue. It doesn't seems like this is template files. but i can confirm it. Thanks
Does the user open the file from a network share by double clicking on the file icon? Does the same thing happen if they open the file by using the File-->Open option within Excel?

I do not like this as a solution but it is a workaround. It does not solve the issue but eliminates the "Copy Of" prefix.
