Cannot move apps to SD card on Galaxy Tab

I have a Galaxy Tab, running Android 4.4.2, that is out of memory.
Thus, I bought a MicroSD card to expand its memory.

I was planning to move to some applications to the SD card to free up space.
However, whenever I try to move an app via the "Move to SD card" button, I get an error "Unable to move app."

All that I was able to find via Google is that doing a factory reset MAY correct the problem.
I'd really like to avoid doing a factory reset.

Not all apps can be moved to SD card.

Do not focus on apps first, move your photos and videos first to SD card.

Even if you can move an app, please take note of the following.

"there two Options:
1.is sd card damaged
2. he dosnt understand that in Samsung kitktat. 60% of the app moves. not 90% as on gingerbread..
4.you need to understand and tell him. this "some app2sd. moves only app , and some moves only data, and some moves both"
3.the normal way it should be:"

Unfortunately, the majority of my used space is apps.

I do seem to have a lot of miscellaneous files though and I can't figure out where all that space is going.
Miscellaneous files
Is there anything I can offload onto my SD card?

8GB internal storage is just too little. You need to remove some apps.

For a usable Android device, the minimum internal storage is 16GB.

Do you use Hancom office app?

If no, disable Hancom office app in App Mgr and use ES File Explorer to copy the .Hnc folder to microSD card and delete .Hnc folder from internal storage. Make sure you have disabled recycle bin option in ES File Explorer before you remove the .Hnc folder.

I was actually able to simply delete the .Hnc folder.
I disabled the Handcom office app so that it does not get accidentally opened and recreate the folder.

I still have 0.93GB in Miscellaneous files, but those listed do not add to even 100MB.
Where is this extra space being used?

It is criminal that they sold these things with 8GB storage and the OS uses almost half!

I moved pictures to the SD card and am now up to 1.05GB of available space.
If I can recover the Miscellaneous files space I'll be up to 25% (2GB) free!

Try to install Disk Usage app and let the app tells you.

The extra space turned out to be files associated with games.
