Windows 8 Password Reset

I have a customer with an HP Windows 8 Laptop (Yes I know, bad combination).  When you boot the system it comes up with ONE username.  (The Administrator account is probably disabled). The problem is: he  has forgotten his password!!!

I used a program, see attached screenshot, which creates a CD from which to boot, but it resets ONLY the ADMINISTRATOR Password.    Which I did.

When I rebooted, STILL NO ADMINISTRATOR  account appears from which to boot!!

When I have used this program before, the Administrator account becomes enabled and appears in the Welcome Screen (without a password).

However it seems that Windows 8 has NO ADMINISTRATOR account.  Or am I wrong?

I need something that resets MORE than just the Administrator Password.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,

Biggles

You can reset the password with below password utility

Thanks McKnife,

Take a look at https://www.ghacks.net/2012/06/11/windows-8-enable-the-hidden-administrator-account/ it says:

You need to run the command from an elevated command prompt. To do that you need to do the following:

Press the Windows key to get into the Metro interface if you are not already there.
Enter cmd and right-click on the Command Prompt result that should appear.
This opens a list of options at the bottom. Select Run as administrator there.
    Accept the UAC prompt

Fine!  But I can't even get to the command prompt since the password has been lost!
Sorry, I forgot to attach the screenshot of the SW I used.

Didn't you understand my comment :-) ? I have no idea why you quoted what you quoted. Simply follow my directions - you don't need to logon to carry them out.
I have not had the time to test this.  I will do so next week.  However I trust this is thye correct solution.  If not I may get back to you.  Thanks!
