Need program to do bulk jpg resizing

Years ago I used a program that was very versatile and very easy to use, I cannot remember the name of it at this time but need any program that will do the same job. I do remember that it was either free or next to free. It always worked flawlessly. Perhaps if some experts make some suggestions that it will "ring a bell" in my memory.

It's not clear if you're looking for something that runs at a command prompt, or in a GUI.  It's also not clear what operating system you're on.  With those two things in mind, I offer this link of Windows GUI applications as possible solutions.

Dear Experts, I have been in hospital for an extended and unexpected period of time. I am sorry for the delay.

PAUL!! You got it! Irfanview IS the program that I once used with great pleasure and success. Thanks so much for your input.  Experts, I do appreciate your input and will examine how your suggestions might help me out in future projects. Again, I apologize for not being able to respond in a timely manner. It was unavoidable.
Hi NaC,
I'm very sorry to hear about your long stay in the hospital. I hope they fixed the problem and that you are on the road to a rapid recovery. Regards, Joe
