PhotoShop CC: Placing text inside of a rectangle
I see how to create a rectangle and how to place text on the page. I can even add it to the rectangle. But I want the text to travel with the rectangle, as I move it around.
How?
How?

I tried that. NOw how do I select the box and see if the text moves with it?
If you Rasterize for example 3 layers, then all those three layers will move together when you move any of them.
ASKER
Ok, so If I rasterize the box and its contents, they will become one?
Yes,
then just unlock the background.
select Move tool.
select text layer / rectangle layer.
move mouse on top of it.
press and hold left mouse click and move it.
then just unlock the background.
select Move tool.
select text layer / rectangle layer.
move mouse on top of it.
press and hold left mouse click and move it.

The move tool stopped working. And there is never a locked background.

I forgot, the question was about locking in the text with the box. Rasterizing does not seem to work.
ASKER
Can you start over, by creating a text field, dropping it into the box, then step through how to make it anchor to the box?
Okay,
ASKER
I will post a new question for that...

I got it working!
YOur first instructions worked. I just needed to multi-select the layers.
Thanks

Exactly, glad to hear that.
And thank you.
Try this:
Go to layer menu >> Rasterize >> Rasterize layer / rasterize all and check if that helps.
