Hard Drive Encryption
I have a customer with Windows 10 Home Ed. What is recommend to encrypt the entire hard drive?
Upgrade to pro and use bitkocker...
If you had Windows 10 Pro, you could have used BitLocker.
For home users, you need to use a third party solution such as Sophos SafeGuard.

You can use device encryption if you have the hardware for it. It will only work if you are ok with using a Microsoft account.
To use bitlocker -even on home-, there are two ways:
1 encrypt your c: drive from a different OS (boot windows2go, or slave it to another machine to encrypt it)
2 boot windows 10 home setup, press Shift F10 at the language selection to get to a command line and use the manage-bde commands to encrypt it. (2) will require a TPM module.

As for non-bitlocker solutions: use disk cryptor or Vera crypt, those are free.

I'm a little antsy about using VeraCrypt on a Windows 10 PC. I'll probably shoot for Bestcrypt

I'd really be interested why you would prefer an external encryption tool when you can have the same functionality from windows at the same price. Performance won't be better, compatibility is lower (ok, 10 weeks ago, jetico added full win10 feature update support at least), and you will need new versions (=$$$) to stay compatible.
