DHCP Lease Deny Filter

Our DHCP servers host multiple scopes for ip address leasing.   I am not very familiar with the newer iterations of DHCP server 2008, 2012, etc.  I noticed that if I right click on a lease I can apply a deny filter to the device.   Does that filter only apply for that particular scope, or will it deny  access to DHCP lease entirely?

Just so I know I am following correctly.  If I apply the filter to the device, the device will be denied in that scope.  But it will be free to pull an IP address from other scopes?
Hi,

Filters and Policies doesn't belongs to any specific scopes. It's common for all the scopes which means if you deny a device then it won't get the leased IP from DHCP itself.
