Disk Status Light still predictive fail after forcing drive offline using MegaCli in Dell R710

Dell R710 - 4 disks in a RAID5
Disk in Slot 3 - Predicted Fail - status light blinking green to amber, back to green to amber..
NO IDRAC in this server
Host OS - XenServer 6.2
VMs - 1 Virtual Machine running on XenServer

Using MegaCli ran the following command to force the drive offline
./MegaCli -PDOffline -PhysDrv [32:3] -a0
(returned that drive was offline)

Verified drive was offline by running
./MegaCli -PDInfo -PhysDrv [32:3] -a0

QUESTION: When I took the drive offline, shouldn't the status light have went solid amber? It's still flashing green to amber and back.

David Johnson, did you actually READ the entire question? I don't think so.
the drive is still in predictive failure
Ok let me rephrase the question. Since the drive is offline (as shown by the MegaCli command) should that cause the light to change to solid amber? or can a drive be offline and lights still flash as predictive fail? And is it OK to replace the drive hot at this point? I've read you should never replace a predicted fail drive without first taking it offline, I've done that, but somehow thought the status light would change to solid amber when the drive was offline. it hasn't.

Did you try to install Dell Open Manage and check status and possible actions in Windows ?
Generally if you want replace drive you should NOT force drive to go OFFLINE, since your Raid Configuration may be compromised and it's going to be hard to add drive as active to Raid.
Cant install OM on XenServer. Predicted fail drives have to be put offline from everything I've read from Dell. You'll see this if you research proper method to replace a predicted fail drive. As a matter of fact, they say you run the risk of puncturing the Array if you dont.
