If ipconfig /all shows you pointing to a different DNS server than you expect, this needs to be corrected.
Is the computer getting its IP address through DHCP or is it set manually? If DHCP, is the DHCP server address shown in ipconfig /all the one you expect?

Did the user change the DNS setting themselves? I've gone to a client where it turned out one employee kept advising other to change their DNS settings, which cause support calls to get placed. Eventually had to work on a GPO to prevent users from changing the IP settings on the systems.
Yeah, this issue sounds like a user playing around with settings not really understanding the consequence of their actions. Masnrock has the right idea here. Set up a GPO that locks standard users out of changing IP settings. They shouldn't need to change them individually at any point if you're managing the network from the server.

No there is no changes. Question how to point back my Clients DNS to server DMS. Please noted affected 20 clients pointing to wrong DNS?
ASKER
Yes is showing DHCP but wrong DNS. How to change back the client DNS to server ?
So the users are supposed to be getting their DNS settings from DHCP? If so, make sure the TCP/IP settings are set to get everything from DHCP. If things are set statically, there is your problem.
If for some reason things are correctly set but the system isnreceiving the wrong information, then you might have a rogue router on your network.

How to fix back to add the server DNS in my router?
Please note I was able to surf web from dns server but not the client DNS.

Is getting dhco
So you're looking at the TCP/IP settings? And it's showing that the DNS settings should be obtained from DHCP?
If all of your settings are correct, you may want to look into an employee or outside source that has placed a rogue piece of hardware in the network. Could be a savvy employee trying to give himself WIFI or something more nefarious.
ASKER
Yes how to resolve
You'll likely have to physically track it down if it's rogue hardware, but you could start by running a packet sniffer on the network and see if anything looks out of the ordinary. There are plenty out there, but the most common is probably Wireshark.

Hi Alan,
Please can you run the IPConfig /All and post it here.
Thanks,
Alan.

It's not at all clear what you have checked and confirmed. Details would help a lot.
Have you confirmed the configuration of your DHCP server? What device is acting as your DHCP server and how is it configured?

LOL - Isn't that what I posted right at the start?
@Alan: yes. You should have gotten the points and not I.
Is your local client getting its settings from DHCP or are they static?
If static, then just change the DNS setting to your server.
If from DHCP, then what settings does your DHCP server give out?
Alan.
