Watchguard Migration from XTM505 to M370

Hello all,
I will be migrating a Watchguard XTM505 to a Watchguard M370.  I understand the step by step portion of the policy manager.
My question is that before I import the configuration file from the policy manager to the new M370 do I need to activate the new M370 or do anything else to it?
Thanks,
Kelly W.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You should activate the M370 then download and apply the feature key to the configuration. Then you can upload the configuration to the M370.

You don’t have to do it in that order but I find that’s the smoothest for me when I do migrations.
