Be sure you only install files using the standard VMware installation mechanism + Kali Linux installer.

When you say I did upload all the files this suggests you've tried to add files to a VMware directory outside the VMware or Kali installation mechanisms, which will likely fail in many ways.

If you have attempted to manually add files to a directory, then the entire snapshot chain checksums will be scrambled.

If you have done this, best to scrap your entire Kali image install + all snapshots + start again.
As per this attachment i did upload all these files to datastore using upload folder options.

How do I create a VM and point to the vmdk disk and power on the VM?
This is where I am stuck.

These files I did download from the following site.

when i checked the data store This is what i see

Have you just copied/uploaded files from VMware Workstation to ESXi ?

Please see my EE Articles

It works .

Thanks so much again.
How did you come to know this is designed for workstation?
Long term experience, filenames, VMX contents!

I've been round VMware a long time....some would so far too long....
I was able to follow the instruction and solve the problem.
