Migrate Exchange 2010 to 2016 - Give same IP address when finished
Hi all,
We are in the process of migrating Exchange 2010 to 2016.
We are currently in co-existence. When we are finished, is it a good or bad idea to give the new Exchange 2016 the same local IP address as the old server?
This would for example be a easy as we have a lot of devices like scanners on our network using this local IP address.
Thank you!

Just FYI to avoid such in future.
Assigning IP address instead of name in such device is a bad idea.
Make sure you configure the same settings of receive connector in new Exchange server to avoid service interruption of scanner, printer

Thank you for your answer.
A lot of devices, +- 100, are configured to scan via SMTP using the IP address of the old Exchange server.
We wouldn't have to change each device if we could use the same IP address.
