PowerPoint 2016 Overlapping Font Issue - Century Gothic

We have a machine here which will not display the powerpoint font, Century Gothic, correctly. It seems to be overlapping. What could be causing this issue on only this machine?

Images are below. Thanks.

Is Century Gothic installed on that machine?

If so, then check the printer driver. Yes, the printer driver. :-) It will affect display, too, believe it or not. You need to have a default printer specified, preferably a local driver.

Here's the description of the issue and the explanation of the fix along with links to set up a test printer driver. Although this refers to PPT 2007, the problem still exists. http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00850_PowerPoint_2007_text_editing_slow-_text_cut_off-_text_display_or_formatting_problems-_print-_crash_problems.htm

Test printer driver.

Here's more info about how to set up a LOCAL printer driver even without a printer installed.
