Problem With iSeries Overlay

Currently have an invoice with an overlay. I need to create a new overlay with a new logo. Copied current Word document and created new overlay with new logo. Issue is when invoice is printed directly from iSeries all culomns and lines are printed perfectly. When the invoice is emailed the alignment becomes about 1/2 inch off. Tried using different types of iSeries email utilities and receive the same results.

This is a classic problem with full page overlays like you are using.   I know this is not the type of helpful advise that you or others will be looking for, but I would seriously consider a 3rd party forms product which will give you all the features that you need plus more, along with consistent output regardless of the final medium.    We have a few that we recommend, but the most cost effective one that we use is TLAForms from TL Ashford.    IBMs Inforprint designer was a great IBM native contender, but no longer supported.   Others include FormsPrint and, at the high end, DocPath.   Each have their advantages.

ASKER

It looks like the issue is that the machine I'm using is a 64 Bit and from what I found out I need to use a 32 bit machine. testing that out currently.

Hi Walter,

That's really good information.   For future users, if you could post a link to the source of the information, I'm sure many would appreciate it.   I have personally not seen where the local drivers make a difference, so I would be interested as well.

Thanks for updating
Jon
Hi Jon,

Found this information out from another programmer. Have not had a chance to research and find out technical reason for this issue due to being under a very tight deadline.
Because no other solutions were given other than purchasing 3rd party software.
