You'll need first to install a SQL Server instance and for that you'll need the SQL Server media setup.

You'll need to install the Microsoft SQL application first - Express version is free (but limited) or MySQL (depends which one you're intending on using). Once that is installed just import or setup a new database. If you have a front-end application for accessing the data install that onto the machine and point it at the database.

If it's a central database that multiple users are accessing you'll need to install MSSQL/MySQL it onto a shared environment (i.e. a server), import/setup the database on there and point the front-end applications (installed on the machines) to the database that way.
