In the Server Name field, instead of (local), type the server name that you want to connect to.

Ann, you'll need the SQL Server setup media.
What version and edition do you need or want to be installed?

Thank You.
Ann, please explain the comment that you choose as an answer.
If you don't have SQL Server installed how could you start the service? It shouldn't even appear in the Services.
