In a nutshell, there is no need to pay for software (or apps) like what you are using an Android device. But, you need to evaluate what is the best according to your needs.

You do not need an application. Just login to webmail of Gmail and go to Contacts section to remove duplicates within contacts, merging duplicates.For some reasons, I have saved all my contacts on my phone only. Not on Google. I don't want to move it there either. Is there a way to do it on my phone?
