Powerpoint 2016 - function to keep slideshow loop

Hi Guys,

we have a PowerPoint running a presentation on a TV. the PowerPoint loops through all slides fine and when it gets to the end it goes back to the beginning. the problem is, we have a mouse plugged in so users can click and move the slides forward if they want to view a different slide.

once this 'click' has occurred the slideshow will stop automatically transitioning between slides.

is there an option we can turn on for this?

Simple - remove the mouse!
OP needs the mouse
the problem is, we have a mouse plugged in so users can click and move the slides forward if they want to view a different slide.
But it is that action that breaks the loop so remove the cause. Why do users need to advance the slides manually? Impatience?? Maybe look at adjusting the timings so that the slides move on a bit quicker.

I'm not sure I understand the root problem. I just put a deck together with three slides. All three slides are set to automatically advance after 2 seconds and have the on-click advancement option enabled. The slide show is set to run in full screen (presenter) mode and loop until esc. When the slide show runs, it advances to the next slide after 2 seconds. If I click the mouse, it advances and then the automatic advancement kicks back in. What parameters are you you using in your setup? I am thinking that if your presentation is unassisted (no presenter) then you would be better to design the deck as a kiosk piece and add back/forward/home navigation buttons to the slide master.

used wscript.shell commands to get round this issue and restart powerpoint if a click is detected. works rather well but i wont put the code on here as we have since moved on and no longer have the code. however was using new-object commands
