Tech Writing - Terminology for small portion of screen
Hi,
What is the correct/accepted terminology for a small portion of a screen that does not necessarily contain a data field?
Here's an example from a public website (not from my client work).
1. Click 'Races'.
2. You will see the following: ___________________. (segment? display? snippet?)
3. To filter by distance...
etc.
How would you fill in the blank in step 2?
Thanks.

Yeah, either/or's a nice way to go. Btw, I can't take credit for "layout". My manager suggested that one when he saw a note to myself about this issue. :) I love the nuances of writing!
Closing question now. You've given me more than enough. Thanks.

Thanks for your help and for the stimulating discussion. :)
As always, a pleasure to help on your questions — I often learn more than I teach on them. :)

"You will see one of the following"?
Or maybe, as a colleague just suggested: "One of the following layouts?"
Thanks.
