Nothing worked - looks like it needs a new logic board.

Hi, I have a MacBook Air 13-inch Early 20151.6Ghz Intel Core i5, running &nbsp;OS 10.13.<br />
There was an intermittent problem whereby sound would stop working, but rebooting solved it. Now, rebooting doesn't solve. &nbsp;<br />

Symptoms<br />
In System Preferences &gt;&nbsp;Sound, there are no sound output devices showing up. &nbsp;<br />
At reboot, system doesn't chime before OSX starts up. &nbsp;<br />
Sound volume is greyed out. <br />

Plug in headphones - no effect - no output device, no volume<br />
Check headphone jack for debris, blow out with air duster<br />
Reset PRAM, Reset SMC<br />

Macbook Air - no sound

Operating systems perform basic tasks, such as recognizing input from the keyboard, sending output to the display screen, keeping track of files and directories on the disk, and controlling peripheral devices such as disk drives and printers.
