Microsoft Azure Backup

Hi All, i have slowly been adding more and more items to my Azure backup as the bandwidth is limited.

I was able to add a few folder or items each day, but now, anything i try add, folder or file, i get this error:

The backup policy could not be modified. Error: Unable to save backup policy. Selected items list for backup is large or selected items have long path names or selected large number of retention choices. Please retry operation again after reducing individual items (selecting complete folders can help) or reducing retention choices. Unable to save backup policy. Selected items list for backup is large or selected items have long path names or selected large number of retention choices. Please retry operation again after reducing individual items (selecting complete folders can help) or reducing retention choices.

I managed to get it working a few times by removing Exceptions one by one, but now i have no exceptions left and it wont allow me to add anything new.

Some of these files are one folder deep on the volume root, so the long filename cannot be an issue

I also tried to change the retention policy but still no luck

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening

Thanks

Start over, add all the items you want to backup all at once, and apply bandwidth limiting. You can limit bandwidth at the OS level usually, what windows version are you running?
