Word: Save As PDF - A footer is set outside the printable area of the page

When I use Save As PDF I get this error on many sections and have clicked Yes, since this is a trial run. But I hope to create a printable book version very soon.

How do I find the spots which are outside the printable areas?

Margin error
Also, how can I navigate inside Word to a given Section? The error references a specific section.

Thanks

Cool. I see how to display Section Breaks. How do I find the footer in question?

Goto Page 7 and follow the instruction in the link above.

Then, Double-click inside the footer area (near the bottom of the page) to open the Header & Footer tab. Increase the value from "Footor from bottom" and close the Header & Footer tab.

I see the person who formatted my book made Odd pages different from Even pages, which I am glad to see. And I see how to Edit a Footer. But all I see under any given footer is a single page number, or a blank, in the case of the first few pages.

Once I can navigate in the menu below, how do I find what number to change?

Increase "Footor from bottom" from 0.5" to 0.7" and try again.

I updated it to 0.7" per your suggestion, which still failed for Section 1, Then I increased it to 1" and it still failed.

Sooo, then I changed it to 0.3" and it seems to have worked!

I was wrong about my last post. I accidentally forgot to save it as a PDF. Page 74 in my book you mean?

It seems the same footer is everywhere...

0.5" Header from Top
0.5" Footer from Bottom

From the screen shot in your question, the error encountered on processing Page 74 of your word document.

Have you solved the problem?

Is it my job to manage page breaks?

Page 74 does have text which may be one line too long, but when I use carriage return to push the last few lines to the next page, I still got the same error on page 74.

I am not sure what options I have to change whatever it is that's causing this problem.

Open the Footer in Pager. Do you see Section 7?

Change Footer from Bottom to 1".

It is a Page layout problem.

Yes, that actually got the error to stop for Section 7. But that was just one of many such errors. I tried the same thing, making the Footer from Bottom 1 inch on page 1, but it did not work.

I am prepping my book for print, and have an idea. If I verify the conversion to PDF does not cut out any text, then I assume that PDF is ready for the printer.

Unless you have a better idea.

Most likely it is a bug and you will see nothing is missing in the PDF output.

It is a common problem from Page Margin.

You can increase the bottom page margin but it might cause repagination of all pages.

Save as a separate version of the word file before you change the page margin.
