Editing an MSI using ORCA
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to modify an MSI so that when i silently install it, the serial number is automatically entered rather than having to input this when the software is first run but it's not working so wondered if you could advise where i am going wrong? I've edited the MSI using ORCA, created a transform and under the "property" table created a new row called "ISX_SERIALNUM" putting the serial number as the value. I have then saved the transform and run the following from a command prompt "msiexec /i test.msi TRANSFORMS=test.mst /qn"
This installs silently as expected but when i run the software, it's still asking for the serial number. Any ideas where i'm going wrong?
Thanks
Martin
