adobe reader no scroller

Move your cursor over the right side to see if you can expose the scroll bar. It works on my Adobe machines. Otherwise try repairing Adobe.

Go to Adobe.com and look in the lower right for Adobe Reader and that will take you to a location to download it. That should work.

Do uninstall Reader V11 first.

Go to Windows 10 Settings, Apps, Default Apps, and scroll down to Choose Apps by Protocol. Set Adobe to Acrobat files there.

I have put Reader on any number of Windows 10 machines - no issue.

Go to Programs and Features and make sure no Adobe products are installed


Open cmd.exe with Run as Administrator and run DISM.EXE /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Allow to complete, restart and try installing Reader again.

After the restart in my steps above, try the offline installer.

Search   cmd  it shows Command Prompt. Right click on it and select Run as Administrator.

Now enter the command string above that I posted for you.

In the black window type:       dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

I don't know what is wrong with your computer. Adobe is easy . Run the installer and you are all done.

Adobe 11 is too old for Windows 10. That may be the reason.

So you followed my advice about V2017 and now it is working. Probably the newer version.

now it automatically associating pdf to adobe.
