Boot iSeries integrated windows server from the CD

We have a AS400 server which is running v5r4 of the OS. It has an integrated windows 2003 server. To get antivirus installed in the windows 2003 server we had to make some registry modifications. The original registry settings were backed up. When the windows 2003 starts it blue screens and says the windows session manager cant start. We have already tried "Last know good configuration" and "Safe mode". Both of these yield the same blue screen. If we could only boot from a CD and run windows restore or some utility to re import the registry settings. But there seems to be no way to tell the AS400 to boot the integrated server from the CD instead of the hard drive.  Please HELP.

Hate to give you a "read the manual" answer, but you really need to follow the checklist found in IBM documentation:

Do you know if a "repair" option is available during the install?
You have the same options you always have when booting from Windows installation media, including Recovery Console:

I do not have the same options when booting from windows installation media because we can't boot from the CD in the first place. The windows server install on an integrated AS400 is not the same as a server install on a regular server.  If you restart the server side of the AS400 all we have access to is F8 which brings up the windows startup options. None of these work. There is no bios so there is not way to pick the boot device.  From what I know the windows install is initiated on the AS400, not from the disk.

All I need to know is how to tell the AS400 to boot the windows server from a CD and not from the disk. Again, the AS400 treats if different than a regular server.

The first link seems goo but it says "Try either logging on or starting up with DOS by using the Boot menu of the NT loader (NTLDR)".  How do I even get to the boot menu?
When you restart the IWS, watch the IWS Windows console.  The boot menu will say "Please select the operating system to start."
