I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

So, you are attempting to create an AfterUpdate data macro which copies the value of Field1 into the [Date] column?

Is that just if [Field1] changes, or are you attempting to do this for a change in any field in the table?

A form is needed to have customized events. Not just a table or query.

If it's at the field level, use the AfterUpdate event for the changed field. If it's at the record level, the BeforeUpdate event needs to be used if other fields are to be changed. Not the AfterUpdate event.
I would suggest you to let us know more detail either you want to create After Update Event at the field level or at the record level.

What i understood is you want to create After Update Event at record level which is that when new data is entered in your main table it should be added to the other table also. You can do this using After Update Event and then Create Record in the other table, you can also apply condition if require.
