PPTPD on CentOS 7

Dear All

             I have a Centos 7, and recently installed pptpd, but getting below error, any idea ?

Looks like the other end of your connection never connects.

On your Microsoft system, you'll have to check the associated logs to have an idea what's occurring.

Also check your firewall rules on both ends, to ensure the ports you're using are actually open.

Make sure your external router has PPTP passthrough, support for protocol 47 (gre)

Try to test your setup by using a system on the lan with the server to setup the PPTP connection once that is working, you can work your way up.

One thing to make sure is the ip you assign using PPTP are not within the same ip range as used on remote side, I.e. 192.168.0.0/24 192.168.1.0/24 192.168.2.0/24

I.e. If your PPTP assigns a VPN ip on the same network that exists on the remote LAN, the remote client will not be able to respond to conclude the setup.
