will this s7 solution work for samsung galaxy s6?

I now have a quiet vibration every 1 minute
   no sounds even at highest volume. Only 1 vibration
not allowed to have a vibration in intervals less than one minute

It wont wake me from sleep the first time, but maybe after a few times.

The design of notifications is never for waking you up as it is only designed to alert you on arrival of new information from apps.

I could not find a setting in this alarm clock app that would wake me if a new gmail arrives

If I turn on all apps and phone calls I will wake many times. I only want to be alerted loudly & continuously  for gmail

Alarm app will not work for you.

You need to setup Do not disturb (DND) and set Gmail app to be "Set as priority" app in the exception list.

does do not disturb allow many beeps sounds in under 1 minute

1 notification per 1 minute. You can create a mp3 file for a customized notification tone which comprises of 6 or more short beeps in one minute.

I dont know how to do this so I create a follow up question
