error trying to install iTunes
When trying to install iTunes I get the following (I run it as an admin):
There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program required for this install to complete could not be. Run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

Please download the tools from this link and run it as described in that page, it worked for me in similar situation.

The itunes doesn't appear in the add remove programs although it's installed (an earlier version)
See if the uninstaller exists in the itunes directory and run it manually.
If not then download the msicuu2 utility (http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/windows_installer_cleanup_utility.html)
and see if it appears in that list.

Also in the cleanup tool can't see it.
