Forest Domain Trust - hit on disc space?

I'm in process of setting up a forest domain trust - it just occurred to me that one of the DC's is very low on disc space - however, I'm planning on demoting that DC anyway

Question is if I set up the trust (using another DC) is there a hit on disc space at all?  I'm thinking maybe something in AD replicating?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Depends upon the size of the trusted AD.  I daresay the impact will not be large.

If I remember correctly, most queries are redirected unless you opt for the DC to be a GC too.

If not a GC, there should be negligible disk space impact, but queries may be slow or not work at all depending upon end users connectivity to the foreign forest's DC's
