Scanner crashing after Windows 10 Anniversary Update

I have two computers which their scanners crash since Windows 10 Anniversary Update from windows 7
especially by Chase scanner I use to make deposits

You need to find out from Chase if they have an updated driver compliant with Windows 10 V1703 / 1709. That will be the reason. Printer and my own scanner (HP) is working fine with the newest version of Windows 10.

I see in the event log event id 7023 Service Control Manager  service terminated with the following error:  Incorrect function

I think the driver needs to be revised upward to accommodate the change in Windows 10.

Brand and model of scanner please?

Also look at Vuescan  if your brand and model is on their list.  You can test drive the software and if it works then purchase it.
According to this Chase document, supported versions of Windows go from XP to 8. Windows 10 is not included, so the first thing to do is to ask Chase if there is an updated version.
Refresh/update the driver. Try running the application in compatibility mode.
Right click, compatibility.. Download reinstall might be neeed. Check with bank, .....

The fuji scanner ix500 was solved with a driver update
The chase scanner needed some adjustment in IE. What I find funny the client was on the phone for hours with chace and there rap did not follow the basic settings that is on their sheet.
