vCenter error started

We have been running vCenter for quite a while and it started giving errors recently.  When we try to access it via web we receive the following error:
503 Service Unavailable (Failed to connect to endpoint: [class Vmacore::Http::NamedPipeServiceSpec:000000000199A4A0] _serverNamespace = / _isRedirect = false _pipeName =\\.\pipe\vmware-vpxd-webserver-pipe)

I logged on to the vCenter server (win) and there are a number of VMWare services that have not started. Move give Error 1068: The dependence service or group failed to start.

VMWare Inventory Servicie gives
Windows could not start the VMWare Inventory Service on Local Computer. For more information, review the system event log. if this is a non-microsoft service, contact the service vendor and refer to service specific error code 1.

All the error log says is:
The VMWare Inventory Service service terminated with the following service specific error: Incorrect function.

How do I get that started, and the rest of my vcenter started (VMWare v6)

Will we lose the configurations in vcenter with this?

You shouldn't if you follow the article correctly. I would recommend contacting VMware support and mention this article for help.
Never mind...I'm an idiot...

service account password expired...
it is working now.
I'm glad you got it working again. Have a good day!
