How do I send calendar updates to new members of a distribution list only?

We have a holiday party calendar invitation which was sent to members of a distribution group called "All Local Employees" over the summer.

We have had new employees join since then.  Is there, a way to send the invite only to new members of the list?  We don't want the users that already have the calendar invite to get a duplicate notification.

Thanks in advance for the help!

This option works when having different lists or users.

This does not while using the same distribution list.

Hi,

Rather than sending an update, forward the original item to the new people directly.

That's what I was afraid of.  Will need get HR involved to provide the organizer of the meeting a new hire list.

I'm surprised that MS doesn't have a solution for something like this.

Yes - now you say it, that would be a great feature, especially for some people.

If you can be bothered to type it up, you could always submit it to MS.
