"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What type of rights do your users have (Administrator, Power User, User)? I would assume you see this while Office 365 is running?

For those users, let the log in online, and see if their OneDrive is working. If it's not, someone disable OneDrive for those users, and hence when an Office application does a quick OneDrive check, will get that error message.

One thing we do is disable apps like Excel and Word from looking for One drive by default. This might fix your issue by allowing Office to start up with out looking for the Onedrive connection each time (you can still chose to save to One Drive with this).

This is under file>options>save under Excel, Word etc.,
