H/W requirements for an Exchange 2013 Edge Transport server

How can I correctly size H/W requirements for an Exchange 2013 Edge Transport server? I have approx. 35K mailboxes at the moment and expect growth up 50K in several years time. thanks

Sizing Edge server role is bit tricky, as Microsoft doesn't gave any tool or not seems to be interested in Edge role deployment.

I managed or managing several large clients and 95% doesn't uses Edge. Most of them uses next hop as 3rd party solution. Like Bright mail or EOP or Message Labs or Trend Micro.

If you ask my suggestion, don't waste money on Edge role. It adds unnecessary complexity and admin overheard, along with extra server and license cost.
