Sage 50 will not install on Win 7 PC
I have downloaded the Sage 50 setup file from the Sage website.
However, each time I try to run the setup file, I get asked which program I want to run it with. The dialog box comes up options like Word, Powerpoint, Media Player etc.
Other .exe applications seem to run fine.
I've also run various .exe extension fixes and registry fixes but nothing seems to work?

Is it a x64 bit version your trying to install on a 32 bit version of windows? Could you please post your computer Operating System and if it is x86 or x64?

The system is 64-bit and but the software is 32-bit but Sage 50 officially supports being run on 64-bit systems.
So when you downloaded the program and it unzipped it to c:\sage\ . Are you running the setup.exe from there? If so could you right click the c:\sage\setup.exe and chose run as administrator? Please report back.

ok, I have just tested this file again on a Win 10 system.
SAME MESSAGE. "How do you want to open this file?". And again options for Word, Excel, iTunes, Notepad, Paint pop up.
I have double checked File Description of installer. It is listed as: Sage Package Installer
File downloaded from same location. And said file installed perfectly on another Win 10 system last week.
