expand server drive 2012r2 vmware 5.5

I know this can be answered quick. I cannot for the life of me remember. I have done this before but it has been 4 years. I have been wearing a Telephony and CCNA hat for a while. NOW, as a Server Admin I need how to do a simple hard drive expansion. I have a windows 2012 r2 server. The E drive 100GB and almost full. It is data that I would like to leave in place. I went to VMware 5.5 and expanded the drive to 150GB. NOW, I cannot remember the next step. I should know this. Is it a simple reboot? When I go to Windows Storage I do not see the added space. What is next?

You need to go to Disk management inside the windows 2012 r2 server and extend the drive. Make sure you first  hit "rescan disks" to find the new space.
