kerberos error

I have setup Kerberos master and client,  I am trying to get authentication and getting this error message.

kinit admin
kinit: Cannot contact any KDC for realm 'MYKDCSERVER.COM' while getting initial credentials

What would be the issue?

https://serverfault.com/questions/612869/kinit-cannot-contact-any-kdc-for-realm-ubuntu-while-getting-initial-credentia covers a  variety of potential things to fix.

First, ensure the KDC service you're trying to connect with is actually running.

Check the process list on whatever machine runs the KDC service. Next use something like nmap to verify no firewall between your client + server machine is blocking the KDC communication port.

If all this is good, proceed through other debug suggestions laid out in link above.

If there are many realms in client,  how does client knows which one to use? Is it depend on the request?
