Outlook on MAC

Comcast / IMAP setup.  New Macbook pro

Entire inbox on the Outlook application instance is refreshed…. while working in the inbox reading and replying to e-mails.

From my customer:
"It ‘appears’ that the entire list of e-mails in the Inbox disappears.. And then are all re-downloaded again… without retaining the  flags or categorizations I recently applied to them recently.   I watch the e-mail thumb-nail ID info scroll past on the screen border… sometimes taking several minutes… before I can return to the e-mail item I was working with."

If they look at their outlook through the web interface instead of Outlook, are the changes they made showing there?
One step is to delete the OST file and see if that fixes it. In the case of the Mac version, this is in the User Library folder. However to cover off the possibility of other problems, I would try deleting their email profile and creating a new one.
