"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You will need to turn on Advanced Controls then this icon will appear. Then chose a point and click the button once then find point two and click it again. Then hit play.

advance to the point where you want the loop to end, then click the loop button a second time and the right branch will change to RED

How to play a video in loop or repeat certain part of video with vlc

You will press the button that I have marked below with the red arrow. So when you get to 22 minutes you would click that button once and then press this same button again when it reaches 44 minutes.

the red button is for recording - just hold the mouse cursor over it & you will see that

have you actually tried what we suggested to see if it works?

not necessary, the video is already recorded

just PLAY the video using the triangular button at the bottom left!

  1. click on View ―> Advanced controls
  2. you have to click the LEFT branch of the loop icon to indicate where you want the video  loop to START
  3. you have to click the RIGHT branch of the loop icon to indicate where you want the video  loop to END

this is NOT a complicated operation

Like Paul mentioned you need to activate advanced controls first in order to see the loop button (see picture below) which is pressed at the beginning and end of your loop. To get it started just play your video then hit pause and move the slider to 22 minutes then hit the loop button once then move the slider to 44 minutes and hit the loop button again then hit play to start the loop.
