Upgrading Hybrid Exchange server 2010 to 2016

Dear Experts,

i have an exchange server hybrid environement with exchange server 2010 and O365 and everything is working fine.

now we are planning to upgrade exchange 2010 to 2016, what measures should i take in consideration. also if i can find some article on this, it will be great.

All roles of exchange are installed on the same server, we do have edge transport role on a separate server.

Thanks

Hi MCIT-Libya,
Please follow this.
1. Install Exchange 2016
2. The moment installation is over install the certificate.

3. Move a single mailbox and test your mail flow back and forth.
Create a host entry in your PC which points your common name to Exchange2016 IP for testing outlook.
4. If all works fine run the Hybrid wizard in Exchange2016.

5. Change NAT from 2010 to 2016.
6. Test the mailflow.
7. Configure Virtual directories.

8.Remove External URLs from Exchange2010 if you want to have coexistence.

Hope it helps.

Thanks

After installation and configuration your user interface will be Exchange2016.
i.e. all your communications will hit Exchange2016 IP.
