I get this javascript error on boot up of my home pc windows 7 pro service pack 1

Don't know where to go to delete or correct this... the registry has no value for the regread HKCU\\Software\\ayghk\\irnbyc

Looks like something has maliciously tried to install an ActiveX component on your machine.
Hopefully your AV software has already taken care of the payload,  Check the registry for just "irnbyc" and delete anything you find containing it.
If you don't see it try Autoruns
Also check the contents of C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files

Windows key + r
Type msconfig

Check the startup tab to see what is loading at startup.

Remove anything that is not absolutely necessary.
