Windows 10 Snipping Tool Broken After Update to 1709

Greetings,

Each time I try to use the Snipping tool's email functionality, I recieve the following message:

"The snip could not be sent. Check that an email program is installed and then try again"

The default email program is set to Windows 2016.

Anyone see this?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I had this issue too. You need to go in and make sure Outlook (if you use it) is the default email program and not Windows 2016. Control panel>Default programs>Set Default Programs>Outlook>Set this program as default. If you are not using Outlook which one do you prefer?

Edit: I meant to say chose "Choose defaults for this program".

Click start, type "default app" and visit the default app settings and ensure that outlook 2016 (windows 2016?) has all its defaults.

Edit: sorry, ITSysTech, your comment wasn't there before :-)
