What would be the best way to compare two values a year apart?<br />

Say I have<br />
Date &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Used<br />
October 4, 2016 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;3,334<br />
November 5, 2016 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;4,999<br />
December 12, 2016 &nbsp; &nbsp;4,698<br />
etc...<br />
October 7, 2017 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;3,999<br />

What would be the best way to compare the two October dates? &nbsp;And then next month compare the two November dates, and so on. &nbsp;Basically each month we would compare current month minus same month last year.<br />

What would be the best way to compare two values a year apart?

Say I have

October 4, 2016          3,334
November 5, 2016      4,999
December 12, 2016    4,698
etc...
October 7, 2017          3,999

What would be the best way to compare the two October dates?  And then next month compare the two November dates, and so on.  Basically each month we would compare current month minus same month last year.

Compare two values on different dates

Crystal Reports is a business intelligence application from SAP SE. It is used to graphically design data connections and report layouts from a wide range of data sources including Excel spreadsheets, Oracle, SQL Server databases and Access databases, BusinessObjects Enterprise business views, and local file-system information. Report designers can place fields from these sources on the report design surface, and can also deploy them in custom formulas (using either BASIC or Crystal's own syntax), which are then placed on the design surface.
