Excel 2016 Macro Addin Question

I created a macro to clean up data saved it as an XLAM file.  When I go to run the code it doesn't run the macro.  I can run it manually, but I need either an shortcut icon or the shortcut command to work as I need to have my coworker install this on his machine so he can run it on future files.  Copy-of-Monthly-MIM-Summary-macro.xlsm

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Not sure I understand the difference by what you are refering to here "When I go to run the code it doesn't run the macro.  I can run it manually", can you clarify?

Perhaps you want to add a button on the sheet that when clicks runs the macro?  If so here is a video walkthrough of that:

To run the macros in an addin it is best to create a personalised tab in the Ribbon. Look through the examples on Ron de Bruin's site.

You cannot simply add a button in any workbook to run the addin's code. You need to use something like this

Application.Run ("File.xlam!ShowForm")

Replace File with the name of your addin and ShowForm with the name of the macro to run.

Sorry Bill let me clarify,  If I go into VB and select run or step through the script the code executes without any issues.  However, if use the shortcut command I set up it will not execute.  I wanted the shortcut command to to work because I will be sharing this with another user to run the script as well.
