some of the users reported issues outlook is getting hung sometimes

Dear All,

Some of the users reported issue while opening the outlook sometimes its getting freeze and it went to unresponsive mode. what kind of basic troubleshooting steps in order to fix the issue and connectivity in between exchange 2016 and outlook 2013/2016. Please suggest me on this.

On one of the problem machines, make a new, test Windows User Profile (Account). Log into the new Windows account and test Outlook. This will tell you if the issue is related to the Windows Profile.

Have you tested for viruses?  That may be causing what you are seeing.

In addition to John's advice if still have issues, try to relocate the user's mailbox to another database.

Practically i was having the same issue and it was fixed, good luck.
