Communication from outlook to exchange

How can we verify that communication from outlook to exchange online is routed via express route while connected to internal network

Open outlook,
Search the "Outlook Icon"
Press the CTRL key and right click the "Outlook Icon" and select the option "Connection Status".

You will get something like this:

Then you can check using Command.com, the commands:
PathPing Servername
tracert Servername
