# Need help on excel formula

Last question I'll ever ask! Someone helped me with this formula a few days ago and when I moved it into my working file it's not working... I need to use the Class Number and Current Retail in the worksheet tab and look to the Data tab and return the corresponding price tier that the it would fall into...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Andrea,

Every single Class Number in 'Worksheet' appears exactly once in 'MATRIX'.  How does the price come into it?

I have attached a solution based on the price having no impact on the answer.

Hi Alan,

Sorry for the confusion, I must have only copied over a certain section of data. Please see attached where price would come into effect, because the Class numbers have multiple price tiers.

Thank you!

You can use this formula
``````=IFERROR(INDEX(MATRIX!\$N\$3:\$N\$148,MATCH(1,INDEX((MATRIX!\$M\$3:\$M\$148=\$A6*1)*(MATRIX!\$O\$3:\$O\$148<=\$D6)*(MATRIX!\$P\$3:\$P\$148>=\$D6),,),0),1),"")
``````
See file with formulas in column E.
